EMZ modernized a shredder plant for metal scrap of a successful recycling company in the southwest of France. Following a comprehensive modernization of this plant, the shredder’s rotor, which weighs more than 40 tons, will be driven by a ten-pole EMZ slip-ring motor in future. With a rated power of almost 3.000 kW, the new motor now delivers more reserves and thus increases productivity by up to 50 percent, depending on the materials, without the motor reaching its thermal limits.
